Neil D. Karbank graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1976.  He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law in 1980 and was an editor of the Cardozo Law Review.  Mr. Karbank was formerly associated with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom in New York City.  His areas of practice include real estate, corporate law and non-profit and charitable organizations.  Mr. Karbank has lectured on commercial leases, the capacity to make a will or a contract and on contests for control of non-profit organizations.  

Mr. Karbank is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Nelson-Atkins Museum (where he is a member of the Executive Committee and is the Chair of the Campus and Community Committee) and is former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Humanity In Action, Inc. He is also a former President of the Board of Directors of Aspen Film.
